3 sleeps and 4 days until Heritage Day, Braai Day and the Potjie Challenge at Noordhoek Farm Village! Potjie Challengers will be taking on the 3 restaurants at Noordhoek Farm Village (the Foodbarn, The Toad in the Village and Cafe Roux) in a potjie cook off! All the potjies will be ready for tasting by our judges at 15h00 and also available to the public at R20 per bowl. All proceeds from potjie sales to Masiphumelele Rugby Club
Introducing Team No 6: REFONZ
Team Refonz were probably the most eager entrants, checking in regularly to see if their entry had been accepted, while the judging panel sifted through the applications. Passion deserves opportunity so herewith meet Team Refonz.
Refonz are passionate foodies and proudly South African. We love the potjie and the time and effort it requires to create a really special dish. When done with love and passion, the potjie feeds plenty of people and tastes great. Potjiekos is a shared taste across all South African cultures so a great idea for braai day and Heritage Day. Cooking meat and vegetables together over an open fire is an indispensable part of being South African and the potjie pot should be standard in any home! We hope our Team REFONZ will be registered so that you may taste the awesomeness for yourself!

NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO THE POTJIE CHALLENGE:
- 10h30 – 12h30: Heritage Day Delights for Kids – Free Children’s Activities will take place on the bandstand and will involve hearing the story of the South African Flag, play the flag game and make a flag to take home.
- 13h00- 17h00: We welcome eMzantsi Carnival who will be performing on the bandstand (Link to more info)
- 15h00 – 17h00: Sampling and tasting of any or all the potjies available for R20.
- All proceeds from potjie sales to Masiphumelele Rugby Club
