On Wednesday the 28th September two 10 year old girls came to the Noordhoek Farm Village Management office to request if they could sell fruit juice at the village to raise money for TEARS.
TEARS (also called the Emma Animal Rescue Society) is an organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes lost, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats. http://www.tears.org.za/
The two young ladies Mia Eldridge and Ella Strangways-Dixon are animal lovers and decided they wanted to help the organisation. Permission was granted and the 2 girls enthusiastically set up a table a table cloth and handmade signs. They set up their wares – homemade lemonade and passion fruit juice. Each cup was sold for R2 and thanks to the Noordhoek Farm Village patrons who generously supported their initiative, the girls raised a total of R175.60 for TEARS.
They will be handing over the money to TEARS next week. The girls came to thank Noordhoek Farm Village for the opportunity. Well done Mia and Ella for taking the initiative to help animals in need.
