Today is one of those blustery days at Noordhoek Farm Village which always remind me of Winnie the Pooh. Growing up I used to quote Winnie the Pooh on windy days and today is one of those days: “Oh what a blustery day! It must be Windsday again!”
Although today is Tuesday it is just the sort of day that Winnie the Pooh would wish his friends “Oh, then I think I shall wish everyone a happy Winds Day, and I shall begin with ..my dear friend…Piglet”
It is one of those days that deserves a big bowl of warm oats porridge with banana, toasted almonds and honey at Cafe Roux which is exactly what I just did! I love that moment when Piglet flies across Owl’s house on a honey pot, and the pot lands on Pooh’s mouth and Winnie the Pooh says: “Thank you Piglet,”
So on this deliciously windy and breezy blustery day, let’s appreciate all the good those little gusts of wind because we can tuck ourselves into Cafe Roux with a big bowl of warm oats porridge with honey and good friends! 
Happy Winds Day Everyone from all of us at Noordhoek Farm Village and if you are feeling clever why not call the Toad and see if there is are any tables left for pub quiz tonight. Maybe you can be Owl .. 
“Owl hasn’t exactly got a Brain, but he Knows things:” Winnie the Pooh. Because Owl can spell his name (“Wol”) and the word “Tuesday” (so that you know it isn’t Wednesday), but his spelling goes all to pieces over delicate words like measles and buttered toast. At least he will be useful on A TUESDAY at the Toad!
But you may want Rabbit on your team …
“Rabbit’s clever,” said Pooh thoughtfully.
“Yes,” said Piglet, “Rabbit’s clever.”
“And he has Brain.”
“Yes,” said Piglet, “Rabbit has Brain.”
There was a long silence.
“I suppose,” said Pooh, “that that’s why he never understands anything.”
